Thursday
I have been a horrible blogger this week. But I have to say its been a good week, lost at least 1 lb a day, and have gotten to the point where i am no longer hungry and the cravings are gone. only 3 lbs to go to i am to my lowest new weight :) im very excited , and hoping i can hit it by tuesday 1/12
Today at work i was even strong enough to stay away from the tray of hoagies one of the customers brought in, potato salad, they did have garden salad which i ate, and 2, yes not 1 but 2 cakes. I just ate my low carb wrap , my salad, and indulged in some tuna fish out of the hoagie :) but threw the roll right in the garbage.
We had so many leftovers from all the stew and porkchops, we haven't really cooked any new recipes this week, but i will have more next week.

Atkins Flu????
"What I do today will make a better tomorrow."
Im not sure how many people believe in the Atkins Flu, im not so sure how much i believe in it, but today is day #4 and i am feeling a bit achy and tired. I also feel like im catching a cold but i hope thats just the "flu." OK enough bitching, weigh in went well today -1 more lb, only 7 lbs to go until i drop the Christmas baggage and move on to the old, normal, baggage.
The Chicken last night was AMAZING, it has a few carbs per serving- but way under the 20/day_ but is well worth it, very filling especially with a nice side salad (gotta keep the veggies comin.) A definite do over and something i would recommend to everyone not just low carbers.
Tonight on the menu is LC vegetable stew, or as Andrew (my boyfriend of 6 years) calls it a pot of vitamins. Basically today we just looked through a bunch of stew recipes and mixed a few of them together taking out any pasta and potatoes. It just got done, and it tastes perfect. Just what i wanted today something warm and cozy and full of vitamins to hopefully beat this cold/sinus/allergy thing i have going on right now.
Tomorrow is back to work for my first full day at the bank on lc. So many of the customers bring in candy and cookies, and one of them are buying hoagies for tomorrow , ugh, but i have my stew so i am going to stay strong, and stick to the plan. All i can do is go in prepared, with lunch and some lc snacks.
Wish me luck!!!

Day 3
So i have made it to day 3 and dropped 2lbs :) Im very excited, yet frustrated b/c im re-loosing the weight i already lost last year, but hopefully it will be pretty painless and come off pretty quickly so i can continue on to my weight loss journey. This week i tried a few new things, we made spinach dip and cut up veggies i just left in the fridge which makes for a great snack (thanks deb!), and on friday night we made porkchops in the crock pot with just canned tomatoes on them, they were so tender and very good. I did my low carb grocery shopping yesturday for the necessities to keep me on plan. Eggs, turkey bacon, cheese, low carb wraps, lots of crystal lite, and baby carrots.
Last night i had some bad sweet cravings, but i made it through, just kept drinking my vodka/cl and kept thinking about weigh in in the morning.
Tonight we are going to try making Chicken Cordon Bleu
I'll let you all know how it turns out!

2010
People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas. ~Author Unknown
Well since the new year is here, and every year my sisters, mom and i sit down and decide what is going to be our new years resolution. Some of them get started, most of them never stick and others never even get started. But 2009 was a great year for me. I moved back into my old house, which i love, i started a new job, and we have started to dig ourselves out of our debt hole we have made (let me tell u we have just started digging, we have a ways to go) , and on top of it all i did loose a big 15lbs this year and actually kept it off through the holidays and the end of summer.
Last May i started Atkins, it was hard the first few days but then i really fell right into it and loved it. I did it until about the 4Th of July and lost a total of 25lbs. I was so excited and feeling great..then i tried taking a diet break..not a good idea, unless it was suppose to last 6 months. But i am completely motivated and back on track starting today. I am doing Atkins Induction for 2 weeks, so no more then 20 net carbs a day. Mainly just meat and veggies (sorry deb..my sister who is recently a vegetarian and now going vegan). So i decided to start my blog and be able to vent about how well or horrible its going, maybe throw out some recipes that i try that are good. Hope you all enjoy :) I wish everyone a Happy, Healthy New Year!!! Happy 2010!!!
